Spared No Expense

Hi Friends! We're heading into the weekend and it's almost game time! This season, I am full of surprises; dinosaurs, Hall and Oates, the Moon!  I'm really excited and I hope you are too!

I've said it before, it is an honor to vend along side so much talent.  I can't wait to get out there rain or shine.

The days before Patchwork, or any craft show, for me can get a little crazy. My apartment is a mess and I usually work way past my bed time.  But I really enjoy what I make and I stand by it 100%.

It's almost here

 

 Patchwork is seriously around the corner!  It;s a bit earlier than I remember, but it is the best time to get the special present for the holidays! As always Ms. Melis will be selling her handmade/sustainable clothes and accessories. 

I have some new bracelets/charms/necklaces and not all of them contain expletives. Fun! Come down, say hello

Friends I have some great news.  Mind over Manners will be at Patchwork Long Beach and Santa Ana! It is such an honor to sell alongside some of the craftiest people in LA and Orange County.

Creature Comforts

While there are many kitty and bunny ear rings, I think mine are the designed the best and the most functional, i.e cute self defense weapons.

After searching around for a new pair of flats, I found some friends for my rings. I was never one for matching, but when it comes to things that are unconventional, I am down. What is more unconventional than matching your ring to your shoes.

When I started Mind over Manners, my friends and I were way into eating $1 vegan corndogs and $1 PBR on Wednesday at the Hungry Tiger Too in Portland. We aren't vegan but damn was that a good corndog!

Craft Hangover

Patchwork Spring has come and gone.  The month of May was craft doozie.  After work, I basically came home and crafted or  what my husband likes to call my second job.

Along with the usual suspects of polymer clay items I hand make, I have included laser cut wood and acrylic. I've also added a vast collection of bracelets that are all different.

A huge THANK YOU is in order to everyone that stopped by and said hello at Patchwork.  An even bigger THANK YOU to those that came by picked up a few pieces.  It really means a lot to me.

What's next? LOTS OF STUFF!  I will be sure to let you all know.  In the meantime, check out the blog post on Dear Handmade Life.  It is a great post on the early days of Patchwork and what it has become now.  It is an honor to take part in such a great craft community.

Thinking Outside the Box

In the fervor to get things made for Patchwork and YES on Sunset, I seem to have made an uneven amount of unmatching  teeth studs. They look great on ears but they look just as good on sweaters as a pin!

Getting There

  This weekend was very productive!  I have a new display, made lots of new product out, distributed flyers!  It was great.  Still have lots of little things to do before Patchwork.    

Patchwork 2013

Come and visit Ms. Melis and I at Patchwork this year!  We will be sharing a booth as always and we will be at both Santa Ana and Long Beach. Santa Ana we will be at booth 91 and in Long Beach booth 87.
